§ 94-336. Purpose; scope; adoption of rules.

  • (a)

    The purpose of this division is to provide for the administrative adjudication of violations of sections of this chapter and ordinances regulating vehicular standing and parking within the town and to establish a fair and efficient system for the enforcement of such regulations.

    (b)

    The administrative adjudication system established pursuant to 625 ILCS 5/11-208.3 shall be operated under the supervision of the town parking administrator who is authorized to adopt, distribute and process parking violations notices and additional notices, collect money paid as fines and penalties for violations of parking ordinances and establish procedures necessary for the prompt, fair and efficient operation of the administrative adjudication system.

    (c)

    The parking administrator is authorized to adopt rules and regulations pertaining to the hearing process, the content of forms and procedures and the daily operation of the administrative adjudication of parking violation programs.

    (d)

    The town president is authorized to appoint such number of hearing officers as may be necessary to efficiently operate the administrative adjudication system, and such hearing officers shall perform the duties as determined by this division.
