§ 94-258. Stopping or parking in alleys.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle to stop upon or park within any alley within the corporate boundaries of the town; provided, however, that a vehicle may stop within an alley for the express purpose of either loading or unloading the contents carried by the vehicle, and when the loading or unloading has been accomplished, the vehicle must then be removed from the alley.

    (b)

    Any person convicted of violating this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than $50.00 and not more than $750.00 for each offense.

    (c)

    Authorized town officials and employees upon finding vehicles parked in violation of this section, shall be authorized and directed to enforce this subsection by ticketing or towing. Any vehicle parked in violation of this section shall be subject to an immediate tow without notice in accordance with division 7 of this article. The towing charges in each case shall be borne by the owner of the vehicle.
