§ 94-251.1.J. Parking in front of a theater, church or public building.

  • (a)

    Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in front of the exit of any theater, church or public building.

    (b)

    Any person convicted of violating this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than $50.00 and not more than $750.00 for each offense.

    (c)

    Authorized town officials and employees upon finding vehicles parked in violation of this section, shall be authorized and directed to enforce this subsection by ticketing or towing. Any vehicle parked in violation of this section shall be subject to an immediate tow without notice in accordance with division 7 of this article. The towing charges in each case shall be borne by the owner of the vehicle.
